Holy Show are a Dublin-based rock band featuring Emily Deegan on vocals and bass, Cathal Grogan on guitar, Alex Dunne on guitar and Ben Black on drums. The eclectic four-piece met in music college and formed a bond and then a band in 2024. Since their formation, Holy Show have released three strong singles to date. Their sound is relaxing, thought-provoking and melancholic. I think they will appeal greatly to fans of alternative/indie rock or anyone who likes a good melody. But their sound is diverse and they merge a lot of different styles quite tastefully.

Over My Head was the debut single released earlier this year. The chorus is enchanting, featuring an excellent vocal lead and followed by some wonderfully fuzzy lead guitar. The follow-up single, Say, doesn't dip in standards and is just as memorable, featuring some groovy guitars and another very distinctive vocal melody.

Holy Show have just dropped their third single called Vacancy. It's the first song they started working on together as a band. Written by lead singer, Emily, the song deals with themes of mental health. It's probably their best song to date and is definitely the most diverse one in terms of showcasing the full array of their talent. It's an emotionally raw song that is brilliantly arranged and produced with well-placed tempo changes. It feels both psychedelic and retro, making it stand out from the rest.

I'd highly recommend that everyone check out Holy Show. I will certainly be following their journey.
