Bad Mothers Union are a rock band originally formed in Kilkenny by frontman Conor Kavanagh. Having released their debut single, Fun for Five Year Olds, back in 2006, the band dissolved. That's a shame as it was a stomper of a song. But fear not, after serving their time elsewhere, Bad Mothers Union are back, featuring a new lineup of Conor Kavanagh, Shay English, James O’Neill, Tim Flood, and Ethan Corcoran.
Bad Mothers Union have just dropped their new single, God's Intercom. I've given it numerous listens and am pretty impressed with the energy the song brings. It has a great punk spirit throughout. It's definitely chaotic. It's definitely going to make you end up with someone else's drink spilled on you. It's definitely going to fill the dance floor and get people moving.
God's Intercom is the first taste of the upcoming album, 'Sore Losers'. That's definitely one I'll be checking out when the time comes.
Last word from the band on their new single:
“The lyrics are stream of consciousness ramblings. There’s friends from my youth in there, existential dread, and my favourite, self-doubt. Or you can forget about all that and just vibe to the beat and let it all wash over you.”
