The River Filth | Hell Yeah
The River Filth are a four-piece hard rock band from Dublin who formed in 2023. They released their self-titled debut album in 2025, and it's a stomper. I was really impressed from the first listen, as the band features crunching guitars, bluesy melodies, duelling riff breakdowns and harmonies, and an overall big sound. This is clearly a band with good taste. There is a swagger to them that you can't teach. You either have it or you don't, and The River Filth have... the filthy sound that I like. (I know!)
The vocals are smooth and the guitar solos are bluesy and raunchy. All eight tracks on their debut offering are solid, but my favourites are the self-titled opening track, the fantastic Come Back to Me and the awesome Think About You, which oozes with a classic Aerosmith feel.
The River Filth release a brand-new single called The Fury on Friday 9th October. I've been giving it a good listen and I love it. It's a fast-paced, room-smashing rocker. The space given to the aggressive bass line to breathe in the breakdowns is gold. The future is definitely bright if their follow-up album continues on this path, and I will most definitely be following this band.
